    Talking Booze, beer and barbecue

I saw this quote in this article Nevada Station burns

"Booze, beer and barbecue built this station. Some of the best barbecue in the state came from that pit over there. We had a lot of fund raisers over the years. This was a community station," said McClintock as the process of cleaning up the mess continued Tuesday morning. "We built most of the station by hand. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into that structure."
This is not something to start a FF'ing/Alcohol debate... I just thought it was a funny, light hearted comment for such a tragedy. I hope they get back on their feet quickly.

I would venture to guess that a great majority of volunteer fire departments in the US where built by this very same successful formula. It's that same attitude that will get them back on their feet and ready for business in record time.

Nothing attracts the general public more than that.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

    Default Ugh...

Ummm....please read the story really good before
commenting. I read the story and understand that
beer was involved in the construction of the
    station.

Nothing was said about mixing alcohol with fire
duty. I think it is important to stress that
fact before we get on another anti-beer-duty
    war thread again.
