    On March 30th, 2003, Fire/Police Fire Fighter Isaac Donald TSHUDY, 62 yoa of the Lickdale, PA Vol. FD Died in the Line-of-Duty.

    While directing traffic at a MV Crash on I-81, Brother Tshudy became ill and was transported to a nearby Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    He was a 10 year veteran of the Department. No further info.

    LOS ANGELES, CA:
    Greater Alarm - 0052hrs PDT.


    On Saturday, April 12, 2003 nine companies of Firefighters, two Chief Officer Command Teams and two Rescue Ambulances under the command of Assistant Chief A. P. Fox responded to a greater alarm structure fire at 17732 Sherman Way in the West Van Nuys area. First companies on scene reported a one-story, L-shaped strip mall with one unit involved with fire. Witnesses report an explosion prior to the fire with a suspect seen driving from the scene. Firefighters using handlines confined the fire to “Gold Cleaners #2 with some collateral damage from the explosion to “Jade Garden Cuisine” at 17734 Sherman Way. The fire was extinguished in twenty-one minutes with no reports of injuries to Firefighters. The cause is under investigation and the loss is estimated at $75,000. ($50,000 to structure and $25,000 to contents).
