Who is your pick to win the Stanley Cup this year?
My heart says Edmonton.
My head says Colorado.
But I'd be happy with anyone but Detroit.
Oh by the way George, the Rangers would be a really bad choice.![]()

Hope not. The Devils play the trap and are therefore a boring team. That's my other wish that all teams that play the trap are eliminated first round.

My heart says Dallas!!!!!! hehehe could there be a beer bet on the horizon?? Buh byeeeeeeee Oilers!!!!
CBC AND TSN SUCK!!!!!! How ridiculous was that the other night, CBC showing the Canucks game and TSN showing BOXING!!!! BOXING!!!! Two double-OT games and TSN is showing BOXING!!! And CBC showing boring Canucks game!!!! I didn't even last past the first period!!! sigh
OK Rant over!
I usually pick who I want to win each series and go from there.
Dallas vs. Edm .... DALLAS!!!
St. Louis vs. Van .... who cares .... so Canucks
Detroit vs. Anaheim .... Detroit but boy they better get their butts in gear LMFAOOOOOO
Colorado vs. Wild ....... Avs, but they better get their butts in gear too .... how embarrassing would that be to lose to the Wild??? Flames always seem to lose to teams like Minnesota and win against teams like Detroit
I don't know how to figure out who plays who in the next round but I'd pick Dallas, Detroit, Colorado, Canucks, Anaheim, St. Louis, Minnesota in that order of preference.
Ottawa vs. NYI ...... who cares .... Ottawa 'cause they're Canadian? Islanders just to be different? Ottawa because it will help them to survive if they go further in the playoffs. I've never heard any news about them leaving since they couldn't meet their payroll earlier this winter.
Devils vs. Bruins .... I think the Devils will win but don't really care
Leafs vs. Flyers ..... Hate the Flyers so gotta go with the Leafs.
Wash vs. Tampa Bay ..... who cares
So in order of preference (not really preference, except for Leafs)I'd pick Leafs, Devils, Sens, Bruins, Islanders, Lightening, Caps, Flyers
We all know Devils are going to win the East though.
GO STARS GO!!!!!!!September 11th - Never Forget

Yeah, I'm not picking them well so far. My new mantra is anybody but Dallas, not because you're cheering for them but because they are a huge budget team like NYR and Detroit. Also I don't appreciate Turco's passion for diving he really cheapens the game.
I now am hoping for a Vancouver vs Ottawa final but I am sure that the NHL will do everything in their power to prevent that. The last thing Betttman wants is an all Canadian final and if it starts to get close you'll see some very suspect reffing.Last edited by manofire2; 04-24-2003 at 03:18 PM.

I'm not too fond of Turco either and like I said, they traded away most of my fav players, in fact the past few years I haven't really cheered for them like I did in the past.
I would cheer my little heart out for Vancouver if they make it. Do they have what it takes to beat Dallas if they manage to get past the Wild?
I hope you didn't jinx it by suggesting the possibility of All Canadian Final. Look what happened last year. Gary Butthead would poop his pants if 2 Canadian teams in the Finals, all that revenue out the window
Just found out there's a job at Training
Do you happen to know the Chief Training Officer or the Deputy Chief of Staff Support Services well enough to put in a good word for me??? hehehe

Your making an assumption that Dallas will get by Anaheim. The Duck's are giant killers already. Should it come down to Vancouver vs Dallas, you bet the Canuckleheads have the tools. They are big, fast and if they get good goaltending they could go all the way.
As for getting help with a job, the best advise I give people is not to mention my name....just kidding. Good luck but I have no influence in that area, don't hesitate to mention your work with the museum when you apply though.

No I'm not making an assumption, I'm HOPING!!! LOL
It will be a heartbreaker if they have to play each other! OK so should I assume you're going for the Canucks?? Not into Ottawa? LOL
Preference .... CALGARY IN FINALS heheheheheheh
Vancouver in Finals GOOD
Dallas in Finals GOOD
Ottawa in Finals OK,(gotta go Canadian, otherwise like equally)
Anaheim only if none of the above
TB only if none of the above
Devils only if none of the above
Minnesota only if none of the above
Flyers no way I'm cheering for them
If it came down to Devils/Wild .... I'd go for NJ
If Wild/Flyers I'll just cry LOL, but really the Wild ARE NOT going to get that far!!!
Oh why even go there ... my STARS are going to win!!!! and if they don't VANCOUVER will!!!!!
How can I mention your name?? You won't tell it to me LMAO!!!

Well well well, It looks like Norm Green could not keep hockey out of Minnesota. And it looks like the Avs could not keep the Wild out of the Chase. I did not see one nod in my Wilds favor here so I thought that I would point out that you all for the most part had the Avs there in the end, could it be possible for a 3years frachise to go all the way.
I would not count them out if I where you, keep in mind who is running the show from behind the bench and you will have to realize that you can not count them out. Brunet's goal reminded me so much of that Goal from Vanek in the NCAA Finals, cool and calm, just making the goalie look like a chump.
The best thing about the Wild is they have nothing to lose now, Win lose they have already made great strides this year. Infac the only thing that they can do is raise the bar more for themselvs next year.

Altough I would hate to see Dallas go any further, the worst possible final 2 teams would be Minnesota vs NJ. 2 boring, trapping, Lemaire coached or developed teams would be the worst thing for the game.

You always ignore my little digs too hehehe, missed your chance again! How can I mention your name?? You won't tell it to me LMAO!!!
CBC SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe they didn't show either of tonight's games??? I'm disgusted!!!
Good thing I switched to Shaw recently, I didn't have TSN a few months ago.
The few times they showed the NJ / TB game it was sooooo boring!!!!
At least the Dallas / Anaheim game is exciting. WHAT'D YA MEAN NO GOAL???? *GLARES AT TV*
The reffing has been atrocious tonight. What was up with all those soft penalties earlier? And then not calling ones that should be called.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even more to the point, how can they miss icing!! Dallas has been getting the calls all playoffs, taken diving to a new level. Next year they're drafting Greg Louganis.
And what fun is a mystery if you can't figure it out on your own.

LMFAO @ the announcers just now .... Dallas just had two many men on the ice and some guy said "What a f'n joke" and the announcers said, yeah that guy agrees and used words we're not allowed to use!!! hehehe
Kudos to him for acknowledging it, most announcers just ignore it when that happens.
All the bad reffing hasn't been to Dallas's credit though. That goal was clearly SHIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT TTTTT
UMMMM that goal was clearly after icing. oh goodie they are going upstairs!!!!! Net might have been off!!! come on baby!!!!!September 11th - Never Forget
