Well joining the explorers would be a good start. Reading posts on here(well acuteally this forum has gone to the whackers
) and reading the Essentials of firefighting.

Ask the right questions to the right people, throw in a little advice from the crusties, and this forum will be a major help to you. Just stay away from the flashing red whacker lights. Yes, I know they're pretty, but stay away. RED LIGHTS BAAAAAD!
These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.

I'm not going into a big speech about the red lights...
Nothing is wrong with them as long as they are on the fire apparatus, where they belong, not on the POV of some whacker that gets a power trip off of them. And to the one right beofre me what is wrong with Red Lights? These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.

the essentials of firefighting, sounds like a start... but as for the 'right questions' i really dont know where to begin, its kind of like being dropped of in a foregin country for the peace corps, except everything is in english, and we are in america... but that is besidesthe point... i dont think i have the right questions yet because i just dont know where to begin... if that makes any sence?

Ditto, I'll try to answer almost any question.
