Let's see...our Juniors just had a week of vacation so that equates to me drilling their behinds for a week...
Had them doing SCBA, Hose Advancement, and Extrication. One of our LT's had them doing pushups for being to slow on the SCBA.
Pics of the extrication should come to our website soon. We have pics of training we've done with them in the past on there.IACOJ Agitator

We have done overhaul training, we smoked up a house and did a mock search, and a ladders class. We have another meeting next week so I don't know what we will be doing then.
No longer an explorer, but I didn't wanna lose my posts.

We went to the burn building and put the wet stuff on the red stuff at the beginning of the month. Last week we had the top floor of an office building to ourselves, so we did truck company operations. This week we're doing a live burn on Saturday (hopefully) and the burn building on Sunday. If we don't do the live burn Saturday then we will probably be at the burn building then, too.
These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.
Buy me a drink, sing me a song, take me as I come 'cause I can't stay long.

Ahh, I see how it is.
From my first impression, I thought it ment that they had a week off and he was going to train them hard for a week to make up for the week they had off..

we also had the week off basicly because of the ammount of brush burns we do for elderly people who cant do it themselves but soon we are going to have another class on search and rescue and then we will smoke out a traning facility and do a search in real smoke conditions

Well i just got back from a Jr/Explorer drill that was held at Camden County Fire Acdamy. It was Westville's Jrs, Pine Hill's Explorers, Erial's Explorers and Woodbury's Explorers. There is some good photos of the drill once my freinds gets them downloaded on her computer. The drill wasa in a smoke house. First part of the drill was understanding everything like SCBA, hose lines, Ventation, ETC Then after lunch the groups were split into Companies. Company 1,2,3. Com. 1 was search and rescue, Com.2 Hose Line Suppeion, Ventation with the hose( cant remember the real term for it) and Com.3 had ventation on the roof. Then all the coms were switced. I say that was the best jr drill that i have been to.

Did that drill today, boy do I hate ventilation!!!!Torrmorow im going to be chopping pallets with roofing shingles on them with SCBA on to see how fast we can do it and how much air we suck down.
Being off to the side and hitting it was alot tougher and draining than I thought it was!!!
