Anybody headed to Syracuse for Fire 2003? I'm planning on going down on Friday to take in the sights.

Wish I read this earlier, I left Albany on Wednesday and got back about 2 hours ago. Was at the HOT training all day Thursday and I am still hurting from it! In all, I had a really good time and I can't wait til '04!

Pulled outta here bout 7am got there bout 11:30 on friday. It was great! I really enjoyed meeting the firehouse dolls. Anybody else go make a visit to their booth?
But it was great except for the rain but it didnt ruin my fun. Cant wait until next year.
This brings up my next question how much are dues for the NYS Chiefs Association? I am curious to know if its cheaper to get the membership and get into the show or is it cheaper to not have the membership and pay a little more to get into the show? Thanks later.Firefighter/EMT Mitch Cowen

Dues are 25/yr right now. It appears that if you pre-register you can get a full term ticket for 30.00, which isn't all that bad. Luckily, my department paid for EVERYTHING!!!

I was a speaker there Thursday and Friday. It was my first time attending it and I was impressed by the size of the show.
I was not however impressed with Dinosaurs. Everyone told me I had to go there, had dinner there Thursday night and other than the scenery there, especially behind the bar, I was not overwhelmed by the food. I've had better ribs at TGIFridays.
It was a "unique" place though.Steve Dragon

I didn't stay for the BBQ, but when I got to the firehouse earlier this evening, the guys that went really enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of BBQ, specifically ribs and chicken. My ears tingle when I hear BBQ baby back ribs!!! RIP Tony Roma.
