Cool Who's getting his own intern...yea that would be me.

My post is getting a college student who will be working with my explorer post and I to get some firefighting expierience this summer, because he has none.He is going to college near Washington D.C to be a EMT.
And on his summer vacation he will be working with my post learning how to be a firefighter. When back to school time comes around he will be getting on with a vollie dept. in a bunkroom/run calls type deal down in VA.This will defently be a crust building oppurtunity for all partys involved .

This sounds like a great idea for college students who want to further there education during the summer.

Yeah, he's Chief Explorer, not the department chief. There's a difference.

These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.

NO! Like any other applicant I have to take the civil service test, apply, wait, interview ,get the job and then goto the academy.
