MONUMENT, Colo. (AP) - A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on
suspicion of arson after a fire destroyed a house under
construction in his neighborhood.
The boy, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile,
faces charges of first-degree arson, burglary and criminal
mischief. He was arrested on Thursday.
El Paso County sheriff's officials said gasoline was used to
start a fire Sunday at the 4,000-square-foot, two-story house.
The house was a total loss. Damage was estimated at more than
$200,000.
