For the second day in a row, an early morning house fire sent a Brooksville resident to the hospital by helicopter to be treated for injuries from the fire.

The occupant had self-rescued from the burning house by the time the fire department arrived. Firefighters from Brooksville quickly extinguished the fire but remained on the scene working with the State Fire Marshal to determine a cause. Hernando County Paramedics treated the patient.
