Alleged attacker in doghouse.....
Providence man arrested for biting firefighter
(Providence-AP) -- A man has been arrested for biting a
Providence firefighter.
Twenty-eight-year-old Carlos Ortega has been charged with
aggravated assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.
Providence police say they reported to a home on Atlantic Avenue
early this morning to assist fire personnel on a medical aid call.
Providence police Lieutenant James Nolette says Ortega lunged
and threw a punch at one firefighter's head.
And as police tried to handcuff him, he bit a fire captain on
the right arm, breaking his skin.
Police say Ortega tried to reach for a machete. But Ortega's
wife was able to grab it before he could do harm.
Ortega is being held and is expected to be arraigned this
morning.

I just heard that the firefighter that was bitten is scheduled to go to surgery to repair the damage that was done to his bicep. Apparently this jacka** did more than break the skin.
