Firefighting runs in the blood of fourth-generation firefighter
(Tittabawassee Township-AP) -- A 20-year-old Tittabawassee
Township firefighter recently became the latest in a long line of
Lindsey McLaughlin now fights fires alongside her dad, Gary.
The family line dates back to the start of the township's Fire
Department in 19-36.
Lindsey's great-grandfather served for 32 years as the fire
chief and her grandfather was a firefighter for 27 years.
Lindsey, who is a volunteer firefighter, hopes to get a college
degree in fire science and then become a full-time firefighter.
She's one of two women firefighters in the fire department now.
