Wife Charged With Arson in Truck Fire

A Lake Wales woman set her husband's truck on fire early Tuesday because she was upset that he poured out her beer, Lake Wales police said.

Diane McNeese Morgan, 50, was arrested on charges of arson and battery, jail records show.

According to Morgan's arrest report, about 2:50 a.m. her husband poured out her beer. Morgan struck her husband in the face with a cooler and then went outside, poured one gallon of gasoline into the bed of his truck and used a cigarette lighter to ignite the gas, the report said.

Morgan was also arrested on a battery on a law enforcement officer charge because she began slapping an officer while she was being booked in to the jail, a report said.
