Our FD recently encountered a Volvo with Boron Steel reinforcements in the A, B, and C posts. The shears would not cut through it and this made the roof evolution very difficult; despite this our guys perservered and got the job done.
Has anyone had the same experience? What was your solution?

All I know about Boron is it makes steel strong. It'the same material they use to make Grade 7 Transport Chain.Older Hyd. cutters don't like it,that's why they have changed the tool design to deal with it.Check with your tool Mfg. they might have a cutter upgrade for your tool.T.C.
