On June 24th, at approximately 0757 hrs, the East Greenbush Emergency Communications Center transmitted the Clinton Heights Fire Department for a structure fire. First arriving police units cleared the occupants of the residence and subsequently located and brought to safety the family's pets. Chief of Department Johnson arrived to find a working fire in a bedroom on the second floor. Engine company 8-5 layed in and employed an inch and 3/4 handline in addition to the thermal imaging camera. The fire was aggressively knocked down in a rather short time. Overhaul and salvage operations were conducted to minimize damage to the residence. The fire was handled by the first alarm assignment. Units were in service at 0900 hrs
