Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot, etc. Sorry, end of day at work and needed a little laugh.

All members have "Natural" tan color gear. FF helmets are black, officers are yellow, chiefs are white. black shield for FF's, orange shield for Junior/Probationary, green shield for explorers.

Kind of a bad setup because from the back, everyone looks the same. You can only tell who's who by the front.

In my department if you are a junior have red turnout gear, and a Cairns 1010 helmet with orange stickers and a shield that has an orange 1 on it and Monessen Junior (I think). If you are 18 or over you have gold turnout gear, a Cairns 1010 with yellow stickers, but the shield is marked firefighter. Captains have Red Hats and Chiefs have White hats.

    LOL @ EONE.

But seriously, don't you guys know that you're not supposed to run on the fire scene? It's unsafe!!!
Now if $#!+ hits the fan, that's something totally different, and then you can run!

Eone, that is the TEXAS chief's hat. it is TEX-OSHA approved, but not NFPA compliant. and it's only approved for chief, for as many of us know, when a chief is wearing his chiefs hat, he is invulnerable, and can enter buring buildings. forget the fact that other FFs need full sets of turnout gear to enter a structure, as well as an SCBA, but the cheifs only need their chief's hats
If my basic HazMat training has taught me nothing else, it's that if you see a glowing green monkey running away from something, follow that monkey!

I think I'd rather wear one of those hats than one of those FireKnight jet pilot/motorcycle helmets...
