    Default tips for roof cutting

After cutting a post, try using a 12"-14" piece of large diameter hose to slide over the post. This works pretty well in protecting rescuers and patients from sharp edges.

This does work well. We have been using pillar sleeves for years. We carry two lengths 10" and 18" (6 each size) of old Rubber 5" hose. We also use the pillar sleeves on the pillar end of a ram for rolling dashes. It helps as a platform for the ram and keeps it from slipping as much. I have some "action" photos somewhere I'll look for.

    Be safe.
