Phone Call

For those that received phone calls, did the person have an accent?

I stopped by the firehouse today and someone said a man with an accent had called for me and said he would try back later. Unfortunately, the person who answered didn't get any more information and our voicemail system is broken. The only contact # I put in there was for the firehouse (although my email address is listed).

I have no idea what this person wanted, but I'm just wondering if I should get my hopes up.

When I spoke to FEMA the other day they told me they were doing everything via E-Mail. They would only call you if there was a problem with your E-Mail. Everything I have recieved via E-Mail was also copied to the message center in our grant application. I would log onto your grant application and check there just to make sure.

Nevermind...the guy got a hold of me today and he wasn't from FEMA. However, I did receive an email for my 1199 today.

Got notice to update 1199 three days ago and the 6 questions yesterday,both by E-mail.

Did, however, call them today to confirm that they received my replies.

Last year, questions were by phone. Looks like we're going to hit two years in a row. We're a small, low call volume rural FPD, and do not use a grant writer. It's all about reading and sticking to the rules and writing a clear and concise request.

How long did you guys wait for official notification, after receiving your 1199a and questions?

We received 1199a and questions last tues and wed.
