Ok so who is "Larry"? Did he run of with somewho's little sister or what's with all the attitude?

Regarding the long unfocused, and hard to read original post. I assume the 3x firefighters that died were from Oakland, CA. They died because they were using fire hose one size to small??? Or because an unstable structure collapsed on them?

According to how I read the post by imtxff44; the building concerned was unsafe to enter (as evaluated by whom? a trained/experienced commander??) and but the investigation blames hose size as sited as the proximate cause of death. imtxff44 says hose size is not actually relevant. This correct a read of the issue?

Other opinions on what went wrong?

    Default One question?

Is that the longest post by one individual on this forum?

WOW! I'm glad I only read the first paragraph!

Default He has the ability to re-generate!

Jay, my boy; the title should have been your first clue. The fact that he doesn't take a breath in between sentences should have been the second.
I am still amazed that Luscious Larry didn't mention a Vindicator nozzle in his hissy fit.
Larry is right and the rest of the world is wrong. He plays dress up; the rest of you go to work. He wants to be somebody. The rest of you ARE somebody.
He is a snake that gets cut in two and re-generates over and over again.
I will bet that this thread gets shut down.

No, it is not the longest post.
If you want to read one that long and actually learn something, read one from mongofire99 in his hey-day or one by BucksEngine91 or Dalmation90 or CaptainGonzo.
The post you allude to is completely unintelligible.

The line to follow the Lt forms right behind me.

The other one or two of ya have to find Larry's line yourself.
I'd be proud to crawl into a tenement fire with FireLT1951... can I take the irons?

As much as it pains me to say it I would not follow FireLt1951 into a fire. He would of course have to follow me cause I would have the nozzle

And that mean I would be right behind you, because Steamer is a Chief....

Of course, rank has it's privilege and Steamer might tell me to hang back and pull the line....

I would most certainly be honored to crawl down that tenement hallway with you Lt. I would consider myself lucky to be in such good company what with Capt. Gonzo, Steamer and Truck12. Hey, Truck12, arent you a truckie, what are you doing with the nozzle?

No, I don't think he does mean you. If I remember correctly, this thread is where the name originated.

The original "Beer boy" wouldn't have to ask if captstan meant him!

So you wanna know what I am doing with the nozzle huh, Well I am a truckie who is currently stuck on the engine. But honestly I get the best of both worlds I get to break everything and still put the fire out.
PS Yes we do also have a quint, 2 of them actually. They are the biggest, prettiest, most expensive, lawn ornaments. Or as one concerned citizen wrote in the editorial section of the local news paper a couple years ago. They are nothing but " Tree trimming, tower building, Santa Clause totting wastes" Since they are unmanned due to staffing shortages.

That's why I linked to the thread and didn't say his name. If we aren't careful, two more folks will say it and he'll be back like that candyman guy in the slasher movies!
