About LinkBacksAnyone hear anything about when Round 6 will start to be announced? We answered the 6 questions on 7/3, and haven't heard anything since. The 1199A was completed on 7/1.

Outstanding ! Never received any call from any legislator, but I'm on the list as receiving FULL FUNDING !
Good luck to everyone else! This is our first year at winning, and I must say, it's a welcome relief to get some funds.

Congrats swurmb
This year was our second grant. To my knowledge we never received a call from our legislator either.
All new PPE for all firefighters. Talk about a moral booster.
Our first was in 2001 for SCBA's.
Side note: The volley's i'm also involved with got a 2002 for PPE.

My department was also a winner in the Sixth round(2nd time-got one last year) Funny thing is....we had the newspaper and TV calling us for comment be for our State Rep had called to officially give us the word
. Oh well money is money. Congrats to the other winners.

3rd time is a charm!
What a wonderful Friday morning surprise getting up and having my award notification e-mail waiting for me! I didn't receive any phone calls or any other indication other than receiving the direct deposit e-mail and the 6 questions last week. Considering we were unsuccessful the past two years, this comes as welcome news. Congrats to everyone else who has and will be receiving awards!

My Friday's gonna be spent fitting about 60 personnel in PPE.

Told my wife about the award and she said she heard it on a local radion station YESTERDAY and forgot to tell me! (you can tell she's really into my vfd involvement) Sure enough, the station had it on again this morning. My US Senator fired off some press releases before I got my notification...no big deal...I'm just happy to get it.
Our grant was for 2 new SCBA and 4 spare bottles to add to our inventory, integrated PASS devices for all of our SCBA, voice amplification and radio interface devices for the SCBA, 10 portable radios for the interfaces, and 6 sets of turnout gear for some of our new members.

Looks like a significant portion of the recipients thus far asked for the same things we did - new SCBAs, PPE, and radios. Boy, that stuff adds up quick. This grant is sure going to help us out.
