Uinta fire curbs will start today
Fire restrictions for the Uinta National Forest start today. The rules were ordered due to hot, dry conditions throughout the forest.
Campfires are prohibited outside of U.S. Forest Service-approved fire pits and grills and designated campgrounds and picnic areas. The restrictions also prohibit smoking except within an enclosed vehicle, building or developed recreation site.
Discharging or using any type of fireworks, tracer ammunition or other incendiary devices is always prohibited on federal lands.
