    Question FDNY Helmet Shield Colors

    Does anyone have a list of "Official" Helmet Shield Colors? I know the basics...

    Black = Engine
    Red = Truck
    Blue = Rescue
    Yellow = Squad

    Does FDNY and other companies that use this system designate colors for other company types such as bursh units, tankers, HAZ MAT, quint, etc?

    Default Green!

    If I remember correctly, Haz-Mat and Marine Companies use the color green. Any of the FDNY Lads wanna chime in?

    sfdny15 pretty much nailed that one. The only thing I would add is line officers (Lt., Capt.) have white fronts with the station number the color of their designated company. (i.e., red, black, blue, etc.)
