Kenosha, WI

Body Shop Fire

At 2151 hrs, Kenosha City Fire was dispatched to the 2800 blk of 66th St for a report of a chimney fire. First rig on scene reported heavy smoke & flames were showing on the N/W corner of the building. Fire crew's cut a hole in the garage door to gain access to the interior of the building. Once in side they found the fire, but the heat was cracking the concrete wall's which forced the interior crew to pull out per command.Firefighter fought the fire for 1.5 hour's before it was under control. Rig's on scene were; Engine's 2-3-4, Ladder 4, Med 3 & Battalion 4, Racine Fire Bells C-65. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
