I don't want to start another beer in the fire house thread, but what is going on in San Fransico. A story on the news secton indicated an investigation on the five o'clock cocktail hour in SF stations. This was sparked by someone who would not be identified. Anyone on the west coast know what's going on?

Don't believe everything you read. This is a disgruntled employee trying to get back at people he or she dislikes.... Like every major department there are abusers of various substances, but it is not widespread or endemic as reported in the news...

Thanks
Thanks OFD. I kind of thought that maybe the news media had over played this one. I'm sure there is some but rampant sounds a bit extreme.

What I know...
From what I have heard, drinking in the fire house is
pretty common there. Please contact me for any information
regarding this subject.Last edited by CALFFBOU; 08-23-2003 at 10:47 AM.

Brett,
Be very careful what you are saying. This particular article is a allegation brought against the union by members of another racially based organization (not an IAFF affilated union) from within the SFFD that is seeking to destroy the morale and unity of IAFF Local 798. Don't jump into the fray and help them become more torn apart.

Hold on just a second. Re-read my post. I didn't slander any fire department, just was making the point that every place has problems. Slandering area departments is a bad idea and using the hearsay that you used is even worse.

OK....Break when I say break...
There is not a standing three count...
You can not be saved by the bell...
No blows below the belt...
And NO ear biting...
Now...lets have a good clean fight!
Ding! Ding!
