I'm in the process of putting together an academy schedule and I would like to see what other Training Divisions are doing.
I'm a new Training Officer for a Volunteer department, consisting of 80 volunteers.
I've never had to put together a schedule before, and I figured this would be a good place to start.
Are there requirements for the total amount of hours for different sections? Topics?
Is is possible to do an academy in three-four months?
If you want to share your schedule with me, please e-mail me.
Thanks in advance for any help,

I just got a new book from Fire Engineering called "Volunteer Training Officer's Handbook". I think it will help you out.
It also comes with a free CD-rom containing Powerpoint slides.IACOJ Agitator

Check out the state of Texas office of fire prevention, the break FF I & II, Hazmat Ops, and Tech, down into hours following the NFPA standards. The even have driver operator.
Do a search for the Texas Commision on fire prevention.FTM-PTB-KTF
