Things that make you go hmmm...
What exactly is a "coons age"? I've heard the term before, but most of the racoons around this neighborhood get eaten by coyotes or eaten by automobiles...Gee I hope pcfd didnt get eaten by a coyote!

I was just thinking about him last week. He hasn't been around here or IACOJ for quite some time. (or for a coons age in Jays words)

I guess I don't really know exactly how long a coon's age is. It's probably about as long as a dog's age, but it doesn't roll off the tounge quite as nicely.
Now, speaking of that, Les says it's been raining today down his way. Sounds like it's been raining like a cow ****ing on a flat rock. More than we've had here, anyway.

"Coon's age" refers to the oldest living man at the time. Edson Coon lived to be 109 years old and that's back when smallpox, polio and cholera was a real threat. And an occasional drive by if you were part of Bugsy Moran's gang.
