    Default Blm Step

I hear that BLM has a program in which they hire students to be apart of their firefighting team during the summer months, the Student Temporary Employment Program. I searched at the BLM website and pretty much came up empty handed with very, very little information and information that I did find was outdated.

    My questions are:
    - Does BLM really have such a program?
    - I spent a year as an explorer and am now an active volunteer. Obviously I am more experienced when it comes to structure fires, vehicle fires, medical aides, traffic accidents, etc... and have some wildland fire, but not much. Will they put me out the to cut line? I'd like to cut line for the summer months.
    - What's their physical exam like?
    - Any links? Tips?

    thanks!

Depending on what state you are from there are usually state agencies that hire local people for upwards of 3 - 6 months, great time thats how i got started.
