The rule is very clear. If you have not been suspended from these boards by the WT, then you are not a recipient of the Purple Hydrant; the IACOJ equivalent of the Purple Heart.
A stern talking to doesn't count, nor does an email announcing new neat stuff for MembersZone. You have to raise the ire of the team and have been temporarily removed or permanently banned and re-instated.
And while we're at it; I noticed that you are touting yourself as "new IACOJ". I do not find your username on our member list.
You cannot profess affiliation unless you is! Is you?

I issued a warning on the one of the Stayback threads. I thought the situation would take care of itself. I was wrong it seems. A PM is on the way CR.

I don't know if this will get me kicked or not but here goes.

The main criteria as far as I can remember is that you are removed for

A. Standing up for a Brother.
B. Slapping down a MUTT or Puppy in the forums.

It is NOT for being suspended at your Station, or being removed from Firehouse.com for being a Plonker.

LRFireE135 I do not see you in the IACOJ members list, nor recall seeing an application from you yet.

So please remove the following lines from your signature, IF you wish to join IACOJ at all.

LRFireE135 has such high quality posts that we should be in awe. I mean, where else can you find as good of a quality post on 4500 psi vs 2216 psi bottles as cited in this example:

I think his answer was directed at my comment that an advantage of high pressure SCBA was the smaller bottle.

Alright... I just got done with reading the first reply to my post... Purple Hydrant thing... check!

As for the IACOJ... I'm lost as to what you are meaning by member list... Is there in fact a TRUE Internation Association for Crusty Old Jakes??? If so, sign me up... I was not aware that there was in fact one... I thought it was just like an inside joke sort of deal.... I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes Chief Reason... I just wasn't properly informed. Whatever happened the this Minister of Propaganda and such??? Like I said... I'm not trying to step on toes, I haven't been on the boards in a LONG time... So if you can update me somehow I would greatly appreciate it... For now... I shall remove both from my signature... Thanks for the info... A little help goes a long way... although you seem as if you have your guard up against me

... Whatever happened to being a little bit more friendly???

The Member List is what your name would appear on if you were a member.
Go to www.iacoj.com. Yes; we are a very real organization and we take it very seriously.
It's not as simple as "sign me up". We are slowly increasing membership, by design because we screen applicants. You must meet certain requirements in order to be considered for membership.
You stepped on "toes" when you ignored our President's (Captain Gonzo) request to change your signature. There is no joke.
I agree that you weren't properly informed. But you should have asked your questions FIRST. We are not a group of meanies. Part of the purpose of the IACOJ is to educate and help each other. It is the heart and soul of our organization. One look at our website will tell you that. One look at the Member List will tell you that we have the "cream of the cream" of the crop.
Sorry if it appears that we came down a little hard on you, but we are passionate about the IACOJ.
And there is a joke....but I can't tell it here. Nor can I tell it to non-members!

I can only suggest that you apply for membership. The rest is up to the Membership Committee. Did I mention that I'm on that committee?
