    Question Dallas Fire Department

I am looking for the following information about the Dallas Fire Department:

    1) Shift Schedule (a,b,c or 1,2,3, etc.)
    2) Whether or not people are allowed to ride for other people (cover shifts), if so, what the rules are regarding that.
    3) How many members.
    4) Rank structure.

    Thanks in advance!

Dallas is a neighbor of ours. This is correct, as far as I know.
Dallas works the A B C shift, 24 on, 48 off. Unless you are in communications, then they add a "D" shift, 24 on, 72 off.
Last I heard, they allowed Paid "Subs" to cover shifts.
    The ranks IIRC are:
    Probation
    Firefighter
    2nd Driver
    Driver
    Lt.
    Capt.
    Bat. Chief
    Deputy Chief
    Asst. Chief
    Chief

BTW, they are "officially" the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department

    Shifts are A, B, C. 24 on 48 off.

We can "sub off". Time or money can be used.

    About 1600 members.

    Ranks are:
    Recruit
    Probationary Firefighter
    Firefighter
2nd Driver (Which is being phased out. No more are being made)
    Driver
    Lt.
    Capt.
    Batt. Chief/Section Chief
    Deputy Chief
    Asst. Chief
    Chief
