He has been CHARGED not CONVICTED. Dont jump to conclusions, sometimes these charges can be politcaly motivated to make someone look bad.I have been on the "other side" of the table in an arson investagateion and it is terrible expierience.Haveing so little info I hesiatate to make any judgement.

PS. DFD--I am still waiting for my apology!

The now former chief has his arraignment on Monday. There are some real good incriminating evidence on this case also, according to the State of Ohio Fire Marshall and the County Sheriff.

That is not the only arson to have come out of this department either. 21/2 years ago 2 firefighters were charged and sentenced for arson in an abandoned building. The Fire Department at that time lost alot of respect from the people they service and members as well, rightfully so. Now, with this this incident, the village is going to try and stop money from a fire levy from going to the department, which will shut the place down. With only 10 firefighters period there is talk in town from the administrators of contracting out services to another town due to these incidents and other complaints council has of the department.

Now I have known the former chief for years. Was it expected by me or anyone. No! I also can only hope that this is not true. If it is, I would hope that the members can find a way to remedy the problems that this will cause in such a small town.

We will find out Monday night what the council decides to do from here. I would hope that they would at least wait and see what happens in court before they make an informed decision.

    STILL STANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
