MULTI-PATIENT TRAFFIC


On Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 1957 hours, nine companies of Firefighters, seven Rescue Ambulances, two Battalion Command Teams and one Battalion EMS under the command of Assistant Chief Dean Cathey responded to a multi-patient traffic accident on Topanga Canyon Boulevard south of Mulholland Drive in the Woodland Hills area. First units on scene reported a two-vehicle collision with seven patients, four adults and three children. Two males ages five and seven were transported by air ambulances in critical condition to Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and the remaining four adults and one four year-old child were taken to Northridge Hospital and Tarzana Medical Center with minor injuries. LAPD Traffic Division is the investigating agency.
