Has anyone used any of the companies that refurb turnout gear?
I would like the average cost per set to have them cleaned. Thanks in advance

Hope this helps...
You might check out a few of these....
Not sure what they charge - but you can contact them and find out. I know that most places will clean one set or one piece of gear free of charge do that you can see an example of the quality (or lack of - if the case) of their work.

Bay Area Gear Repair
Bay Area Gear Repair comes HIGHLY recommended. I have used him to do stuff for me and he is outstanding and quick to turn stuff around.
The owner/operator (Pat Gansert) is a Firefighter with 20+ years on the job and is interested in providing care and maintenance as well as cleaning to enhance firefighter safety. In light of that his costs are very very reasonable and he does great work. Not only does he do cleaning and repairs, he can make pretty much anything you want when it comes to high rise bags, gear bags, strapping systems etc.
Additionally, he is an "authorized" repair center for all of the major manufacturers I believe (Quaker, Morning Pride, Globe, Janesville). Being an authorized center is important because of liability. Steer clear of those that are not. Additionally he is certified to evaluate and repair vapor barrier damage.
Give him a call and tell him Stan told you to call....09-11 .. 343 "All Gave Some..Some Gave ALL" God Bless..R.I.P.
