Chairs are for Chiefs, Supervisors, and Foreman. As well, it's hard to install an 80# plus chunk of cast iron on a chair with wheels. Can you say, IOD??

Don't take it so hard Bull... even red trucks go bad sometimes and we must throw them out.

Hey FM1... I have a stop sign for that rotten rig... It's gonna need all the help it can get I'm afraid.

I'll send it to young squire Willie so he can come over and install it for you.

That's not funny. While taking it back home, I had to stop at a crosswalk stop light in front of a school.

A teacher banged on the door, and said the loading zone is over there.

Didn't I tell you to quit taking the bus out on your dates?

Squire Willie didn't check in with me and agree to install the stop sign...

    So Bull is coming instead.

One auto repair shop I worked at also serviced a fleet of school buses for 'special needs' children.

One day we got a phone call from a bus driver stating that a student was trapped in a bus. Being both a fireman and a school bus mechanic I got the job.

Upon arrival I could hear the kids screams before I exited the service truck. This 'kid' was in his mid-teens and quite large (200lb +). He also couldn't speak but apparently could yell loudly and continuously. He had wedged himself between two seats and couldn't be dislodged without injury.

It took me about 20 minutes to unbolt 1 seat. One of the seat legs was right in the kids crotch requiring me to gently move his 'stuff' to access the bolt. I eventually extricated him unharmed thru the emergency exit. His clothes were soaked with sweat so naturally mine became so as well.

So did you get it finished?

    Did you remember to:

remove the dent in my visor?

repair the little hole in my chainmail?

Find an eagle feather to replace the plume?

    Fix the right boot strap?

    Sharpen my arming sword?

Did you remember to feed Lightning... my faithful steed?

That's alright, he was old and worn out...

Were you aware he had MSD*?

Don't worry, chances of it being transmitted to humans is only about 50%.

Probably not. As soon as I see him, I'll take him to my place and fire up a couple T-bones and mustard glazed salmon steaks. He'll forget about it right away, and go home with a full and happy tummy.

Name the time and place, Brother, and I'll be there. I'll bring the beer and healthy appetite. We can talk about those beautiful yellow fire trucks.

He's lucky. I've seen much worse than that written on people's faces before. But usually as a result of alcohol intake induced sleep.
