    Default Overseas Gear

First photo is duty gear at our training centre in Iran. Bunker coat, pants and balaclava overtop during training or call out
Second is photo taken at city of Bam in Iran in 2004 I think after bad quake. Company sent us in to do some rescue and recovery in taller buildings. Bit hairy that one

Bryan, you look a lot like a younger version of the RSM who used to run our parades for the Canadian Legion in Downsview, when I was at CFB Toronto 94/97. Where's your pace stick? LOL

If I look like a younger version then you must have been in Dads army back then. I did serve 5 years in the forces, it was around the time they were phasing out the Lee-Enfields and bringng in FN's
    LOL Bryan

BLSboy, nope, they sent our heavy (JD 850) with 2 guys and 1 of our dispatchers but we were committed to a bunch of small fires, , plus sent some people over to Okeechobee to work on fires there, spent all day in Naples yesterday on their big fire (golden gate estates, 800+ acres)

Bryan, I'm not quite that old! LOL Actually what I was trying to suggest is that the RSM in question was "Old Army" from WWII. He was the designated Parade RSM from the Legion during Rememberance Day Ceremonies. Always reminded me of the SM from the movie Devils Brigade. Tall, tough as nails and crusty as sunbaked mud.

Well the tall part is correct, not sure about crusty, but in the morning its more like creaky. A couple of years and these old bones are going to be baking in the sun on the dock out in front of home. Going to put on a fish hook, no bait and sit in the sun with a six pack hoping no fish is dumb enough to run into the hook. LOL

    Default just a few pics

These are my newest pics, all of them are in full gear. I hope to get a new one up once i get my darn camera fixed. The first one is just before doing a fire attack in the burn building. The second one is me and my partner on a safety line during a training evolution. (I'm the backup to the nozzle man)

Photo from FF1 graduation this past Feb. 1, 2008 (I wasn't quite ready for the woman taking the picture so my smile was kind of "off" haha).

By the way, my current Chief (2008) is on the left with me. Chief Greg S. DePaul who also works for the NJ State Police on their HazMat Response Unit as well as a HazMat Tech with me on our county's HazMat Team. I would venture to say that he is one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met for just about any field.

Thanks. What's a "Glo-Worm?" I'm unsure of what that means.
