Person on ladder has no bunker pants, maybe no helmet (can't tell for sure), no SCBA and no tools.
Did I get it right?

Why are they spraying water on a fire that is venting itself?

Looks like a chief on the nozzle, instead of commanding the scene.

Guy on nozzle has a yellow helmet, which in my department is a Captain or Lt. Chief's have white with white turnout gear (that never gets dirty).

Aside from the above mentioned faux pas, no one is footing the ladder.
Let's also hope no one is inside, Chief Porky's blowing all the hot stuff back inside, I would guess. One thing they hammer home to us here is NEVER operate a hoseline into a vent whether it's on the roof or a window- unless you have been ordered into a strictly defensive posture and you are doing a "surround and drown". You'll roast or steam-peel whoever is on the inside...

Looks like the character with the nomex jeans is running a hose line onto the roof, along with the outstanding firefighters on the ground further reversing the natural flow of heat.

Ladder placement, ladder number, and hoseline size are also suspect.

Perhaps a better question then "what is wrong with this picture" would be what is right with this picture.
Not much realy...
The lawn is sure nice though.

The head of the ladder is resting on the eaves, not elevated above by at least 3 feet.
The ladder is WAY out to far at the foot.
This ladder only needs to slip 3 inches and the Firefighter is dog tucker.Psychiatrists state 1 in 4 people has a mental illness.
Look at three of your friends, if they are ok, your it.

WOW
Well it also seems that the ladder with the moron with no turnout gear on is located right in front of that window. If that window decides to light up he is going to be in a world of HURT. Especially with no turnouts.
I know its not cool to play monday morning quarter back to departments especially with just a picture, but holy crap! What the hell is going on here?
