Honoarary Flatlander. Rules and Procedures.

Since this is becoming such a hot topic, I had to dig and find the rules. So, here they are (yes, Jenn, they are EXACTLY as origianlly posted):

By the way, in case any of you other interlopers decide to start self-promoting to Honorary Flatlander Status, let me point out a new rule effective September 1, 2003. I am the IACOJ-IL Chapter prez (per CR), and I can make retro-active rules. To wit, Section 3, Paragraph 4, Subsection G:

"In order for an interloper from another state to qualify for Honorary Flatlander status, the following conditions must be met:

i. Said loper must make application through a thread of appropriate nature in Illinois Forums;

ii. Said loper must seek and gain approval of at least three sponsors of native derivation;

iii. Said loper must have visited this state at least ONCE in person and in the flesh, and been witnessed by at least one of the said sponsors."

So, make application here, submitting proof and have your sponsors post their support, and the man behind the curtain will consider all applicants.

Ok Jay, consider this my "formal" application. My three sponsors (LMFAO I feel like I'm joining AA ) are pcfd, 80Fire and Mikey. You know who my witness was as he's already spoken to you. 'Nuff said

Jenn, my feelers are hurt - you let those other guys sponsor you and didn't even ask me.
Mr. Prezident, I don't know about this. If I've said it once, and I have, I've said it a hundred times - pretty soon everybody will be flatlanders and we'll lose control. No need to call for a vote. Last time, I was the only "nay" in the state. It's kind of like Chicago running the state, instead of the state running Chicago.
Oh, well, if I'm licked, I'm licked. I can take it like a man.

I humbly withdraw my application for Honorary Flatlander status. I am TRULY sorry for the trouble it seems to have caused. If I'd have known that this was going to cause this much strife I never would have bothered, it started out as an "all in good fun" thing and has now made someone feel that they have to leave the forums. Jay, I'm sorry if my posting of the elf picture or laughing at the other one hurt your feelings, the thin skin comment had nothing to do with anything posted on these forums and was said in private via instant messenger and it should have stayed there. Again, I'm sorry to all members of this forum for the current BS.
