Sorry if this has been asked/answered previously, but can a Department that received a Fire Grant this year also receive a Fire Prevention grant this year?

The short answer is YES.
The long answer is, yes. As a matter of fact, one of the FAQ on their webiste goes like this.
If I was awarded in 2001 or 2002 in the fire prevention category, am I eligible for this program?
Yes. Eligibility for this program is not linked to previous grant years, however it is important to ensure that your proposal matches the Fire Prevention and Safety Program eligibility and evaluation criteria included in the Federal Register Notice of Funds Availability. **NOTE $750,000 in a fiscal year from either the Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program or the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.
We applied for a FP grant this year, and we were (at the time) still in the running for this year's Fire Equipment and FF Safety grant. We have since got our Dear John on the FIRE Act gant but still hope to get the FP grant.Tim Newman
