I Picked Up my Gear and Uniforms at the FDNY Quatermaster, and i found that my duty pants and shorts dont fit as well as the should. does anyone know if the quartermaster will give me a hard time exchanging them? Or should it be no problem, I am a probie and i am nervous about everything. They are unworn/unwashed and still have the tags. and i DO have my reciept.
Thanks.

Worry about learning the job.....everything else will work out. Dont worry about bunker gear and pants. You've got another 20 years to work that out.

I've never had a problem with the QM, they're pretty good there. When does probie school start? There's also a trailer at the rock (just outside the gate) that has duty pants and shorts.
Good luck again. And MattyJ's right, concentrate on learning, don't worry so much. Everything will work out. As long as your heart is in it right and you follow all our other advice we gave you in the other thread, you'll do fine. If they break your balls at the rock real hard, don't take it to heart so much. It's for your own good and the good of the dept. Just suck it up and stick it out. PM me if you need help with anything else.

Where what they issued to you and keep you mouth shut OR turn it all back in. There are guys who didn't get to go to the quatermaster that would take what you were issued.

Nothing like digging up a almost 6yr old thread. How far did you have to search to dig this up?
