I have been in one live fire trailer.
It seemed to be a flatbed trailer that they had modified. The floor was covered with diamond plate steel so that it was not slick. Then they built the fire room, about 7 ft tall. There were windows that instructors could open from the outside to simulate venting and to cool the trailer when needed. Inside there were temperature gauges from floor to ceiling. It was pretty neat and very mobile.

The State of Ohio has a mobile Flashover trailer that we have used. Also do s search on MSN and their are multiple companies that build them...great fro ideas on making you own. We took 3 shipping containers and made a search area that is customizable and we are working on a burn one.

Json, Also check out what Fire Facilities has to offer. My FD just bought one last spring off the 2002 Fire Act grant. Great trailer to get newbies into some live fires.
