    Thumbs up

Our dept. issues Cairns 660 Metro's (AKA: "Turtleshells") for junior firefighters. If your on an engine company (like me), your helmet is black, and if you're on a truck company your helmet is red. All firefighters are issued Cairns 1010's (red=truck, black=engine). Officers (Captains and 1st & 2nd Lieutenants) just have white shields. Chiefs have white helmets with those neato gold leaf shields. Heavy Rescue uses blue helemets, although I am not sure about the brand.

so you got into your department? I remember back n July you put a thread on here about how you couldn't join until you were 18. They started a junior program then? Congrats man.

Our dept doesn't have an explorers or junior program in it just because it used to cause too many problems with the members gettin antsy and jumpin on wrong apparatus when they shouldn't be..Got us in trouble....

Probies which in our dept might as well be juniors cause all they do is roll hose,do exterior hose work etc have Yellow helmets same as FF's,just with Probationary on it...

    Regular FF's Have Yellow
    Fire/Police Have Black
    Safetys Have Green
    Lt's Blue
    Capt's Red
    Chiefs Well White

We have blue as our explorer helmets. Never heard of blue being used for anything except Medics or Explorers.

In My Province In Canada I'd Say 85-90% Of Depts Lt's Wear Blue Helmets.....Juniors and Probies have the same helmet as regular firefighters just they say Probationary or Junior...It Works Well Cuz Then You Can Tell Which Are Officers Of What Rank

My dept. doesn't issue any helmets to cadets. I'm working on them to get issued them ,and I think they'll probably give us orange Bullards because that's what's left that isn't used all ready.

We are issued the same as the Sr. Firefighters.

    Color: black
Styles: Paul Conway (Lions) American Classic. And Paul Conway (Lions) One of the Legacu Editions, I would guess the Legacy IV.

Personally I have an American Classic. None of the other Explorers have a helmet of that style.

They do have you mark your helmet in some fashion so that you can tell that you are an Explorer.
