Unhappy A Christmas Eve LODD in Louisiana

My sincere condolences go out to the family of Shane Brown. May God provide comfort to them.

MANSFIELD, La. (AP) - A DeSoto Parish firefighter was killed on
Christmas Eve when he drove into the path of a train while
responding to an emergency, officials said.
Shane Brown, 25, a six-year DeSoto fire department veteran, died
    around 5:30 a.m.
Brown, who became a paramedic this year, was on his way to help
    a woman with breathing problems.
The train struck the driver's side of the emergency response
truck he was driving and dragged it about 60 feet. A sheriff's
deputy was unable to rescue Brown from the vehicle engulfed in
flames, said Police Chief Don English.
"This is just a real sad thing and to happen right here at
    Christmas," English said.
English said Brown was the only child of Grand Cane Mayor Linda
    Brown and husband Sammy Brown.
