any fire depts hiring?

Does anyone know of any fire depts hiring? I am a Paramedic (4 years) 10 years in EMS, I have my FFII (4years as a volunteer Firefighter) and am looking to get on a paid fire dept. Please let me know if you know of any. Thanks in adavance! Darin

If you don't have to do the FF thing, you could probably get a medic job down here and join a volunteer dept. I don't know of any depts. around that wouldn't welcome a new member ( I would ). Sound like our county ambulance service will be hiring some new medics in the near future. I can keep you informed, if you're interested.

The departments in my area just tested and probably won't test for two more years, but Paramedic Services of Illinois (PSI) is hiring for our area. You also have a choice of plenty Combo and volly. departments. Just thought I would let ya know

Los Alamos New Mexico will probably be hiring again in 2004, not sure exactly when they will advertise, but if you are interested let me know and I will let you have details as soon as they become available.

I believe Lansing,IL is hiring Fire/Medics it was posted in the Chicagotribune yesturday.

The Indianapolis Fire Department is accepting applications for the next process until early January.

If you know anyone that is interested in becoming a firefighter,
have them come down to headquarters ASAP,
or call the applicant line 317-327-6814,
or even apply on line www.indygov.org/IFD.

As you know applicants:
Must be 21 years old & not over 36 years old by appointment
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid Drivers License, &
Not have a Felony Conviction
