Midland to review hiring procedures after officials' arrests

(Midland-AP) -- The recent arrests of a Midland police officer
and a firefighter have caused city officials to review hiring
procedures.
Both men face sexual assault charges.
William Andrew Glasscock Junior is a veteran policeman who wsa
involved in the 1987 well rescue of toddler Jessica McClure.
Glasscock was arrested on Christmas Eve for allegedly raping a
female acquaintance at a residence in Odessa.
Firefighter Jason Morrison and his twin brother, Jared Morrison,
were arrested on December 23rd for the alleged assault of a
15-year-old girl in June.
Both Morrison brothers are free on ten thousand dollars bond.
Morrison has been reassigned to desk duties.
Glasscock is free on 20 thousand dollars bond and is now on paid
leave.
