Default How have you started the new year

So far this year we have had 5 fires in 6 days. Hope this is not a sign for what is in store for the rest of the year.

couple of ems calls, one car fire that was out before we got there and a wash down after a wreck. kind of quiet - that's good.

Quiet here so far! In this cold weather thats just fine with me.
Our calls for last year were the lowest since I have been on the department. Was about half of our average number of runs. Great fire prevention plan must be working

We ran just about the same the last 2 years. 1st Responder calls were about the same so everything else must have been, too. It's nice going about 2 weeks between calls, but then we get 3 or 4 in one week. Still average 12 or so a month. Our year starts Nov. 1 and we've had 20 since then. We're right on average.

We started just like last year, 3 fires and 1 ambulance call.
Jan 2nd dump truck full of chicken sh.....at least we got it out before it got to the back. That would'a stunk.
Monday house fire gutted two rooms and stairwell-kids playing with lighter in their bedroom. major damage to all their contents
Tue. we got a house full of smoke call. Short in breaker box. luckily the owner got home from work early and killed the power.
Our ambulance call was one of our freq flyers panic attack.
Every silver lining's got a touch of grey...I wiilll get by....
