It is with great sadness that The Town of Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department announces the death of retired Fire Marshal John Wandell. He died suddenly on December 31, 2003. John Wandell retired from FDNY and began employment as Fire Marshal with the Town of Palm Beach Fire Rescue in 1982. He retired from PBFR in 2000.

The funeral was be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at 1130 at St.
Rita Catholic Church in Wellington, Florida. The address is 13645 Paddock Drive,Wellington, Florida, 33414. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made the following organizations:
