I am looking for sample incentive clauses from other union contracts so I can get a better feel as to what departments are paying for training above and beyond the minimum qualifications for hire. For example an extra $XXX for Hazmat Decon, and extra $XXX for Ice Rescue Technician, and so on. These amounts would be cumulative and paid in a lump sum. Thanks for any help you all can provide!

At this time, my department pays 4% above an employees base pay as an incentive to the Haz Mat team members. The three Haz Mat Team Shift Leaders receive 6%.
Our Dive Team members receive 2% incentive pay. In both cases, the incentive is paid with each check.
Hope this helps.

Stypens
Our Department gives stypens for certain things. Everyone who is 911 certified (we dispatch as well) gets a $500 stylen every year. Paramedics get a $2000.00 stypen every year and emt-b get $1000.00
Hope that helps
