    Default Winston Salem Work

    1/23/04 Residental House fire 3105 Burke Mill Rd. Comapnies on scene and found a working kitchen fire. Crews contained fir to kitchen area and truck searched and ventilated structure. $8,000 in damage.
    E-2,16,T-4 and Batt-1. E-10 was held in staging.
    1/25/04 1003 N. Jackson Ave. 2 story balloon frame with heavy smoke showing from the eves. Truck comapny got to work quickly and ventilated the structure while Engine comapnies advanced in and searched above and below the fire while another Engine made an aggressive interior attack. All this a our first big snow storm of the year was going on. E-4,3,T-1 and Batt-2. 2nd alarm E-1,12, and Batt-3.
    1/27/04 135 Columbine Dr. With temps in the teens Crews were dispatched to a reported Apt. fire. Still with snow on the ground Crews encoutered a 3 story garden style Apt w/ flames venting and fire was spreading rapidly. Numerous large caliber master streams and Ladder pipes were used to darken down the flames. Crews immediatly began an aggressive interior attack. Truck companies attempted to trench the bldg with no success. A great job by all of our personnel. IC requested 2 city buses, 1 for occupants and 1 for FF rehab. Companies on scene for extended period of time.
    1st alarm E15,14,T-3 and Batt-3
    2nd alarm E-8,18,T-4 and Batt-2
    3rd alarm E-10,9,16 and T-1, Air Resource-1
