How to access the chat with a free account

Hi,

I would like to know if the chat is available for free users.
My paid subscription has been expired and I'm not willing to extend it. Everywere it's written as "free chat" but it seems that only paid accounts could connect to the chat room.

It's only for paid subscribers now. I seldom went there, but apparently there were several persons (1 in particular) with a behavior level somewhere below "mature" that ruined it for everyone. Here's a link with 4 pages of reasons/explanations. FH chat issues

And as it seems that the threads about the chat are closed one point the was forgotten:

Instead of closing the chat for all "free users" the best thing you folks could do was to open a chatroom on a chatserver (accessible by a mIRC of similar client). There you have the possibility to moderate easily so that those things could'nt happen anymore. Differtent java applets are provided for using on a website so that people aren't forced to use a real chatclient.

I visited once in a while the chat to talk about firefighting. I must say that it is/was really disappointing to see that it was closed.
