It housed Peggs Gazebo-Amish Furniture, Viking Plumbing Supply, a carpet company, a tractor supply company and two other businesses. It is estimated at between $1-$3 million loss. Fire was visible from several miles away.

    Fully involved upon dispatch with first enroute units notifying Boone Center of a W/F, through the roof. Car 130 (Capt. Vonderschmidt) ordered a 2nd Alarm from Station 3, about 500 ft from the warehouse. A 3rd Alarm was ordered shortly after arrival. This left Burlington and Hebron FD's to cover the north end of Boone County, and Walton and Verona to cover the south end of the county.

Chief Butler) E-104 staffed with Off-duty callback, Squad 114, 115, 116 Union FD: Engine 651, 653, Car 675 (Chief Morgan) Engine 652 moved up to Union Sta. 1, Burlington: Ladder 710, Erlanger: Engine 51, Truck 60, Boone County Fire Investigation Team, State Fire Marshal, ATF Ladderpipes working off of L-710, T-60, L-110.


    2nd Alarm Fire - Florence, KY (Boone Co.) February 1st, 2004 1:30pm
    Units dispatched to the Wildwood Motel on US-42 (cross of Ewing Blvd.) for a fire. Engine 102 arrived with heavy, black smoke showing. Stretched a 2-1/2" and opened the roof, with heavy fire in the attic. This was the original Wildwood Motel building, approx. 100x50, single story.

    Units On-Scene: Florence: Engines 101, 102, 103, Rescue 124, Car 125 (Chief McMillen), Car 127 (Asst. Chief Butler), Car 130 (Capt. Baumann) Erlanger: Engine 53, Truck 60, Point Pleasant: Engine 1351, Elsmere: Engine 401. Ladderpipes working off of E-102, T-60
