An early morning motor vehicle collision in Greensboro left three people injured. Initial reports indicated that a patient had been ejected. GFD dispatched E-12 and later added Rescue 5 and Car 1, the Battalion 1 Chief, to the response. Guilford County EMS sent Unit 450 on the initial dispatch, and added Unit 153 shortly thereafter. Due to receiving calls reporting an entrapment, the assignment was upgraded to an extrication response. Unit 405, the EMS Shift Commander, EMS administrative officer on-call and Unit 22 were added. All patients were transported to Moses Cone Hospital ED.

A mid afternoon car fire in Greensboro resulted in a structure fire. E-7 was dispatched to Briarlea Rd., and fire communications reported calls being received for an explosion at the address. Car 2 requested a full alarm due to the updated information. E-1, E-10, Q-7, Car 2, Rescue 5, Air 1 and Decon 19 were dispatched. E-7 arrived and reported a working fire. The fire was quickly contained and no injuries were reported.

Shortly before midnight, High Point fire communications dispatched E-3, E-8, Q-4, L-13 and Battalion 1 to Academy St. for a structure fire at an apartment complex. Additional information indicated there were two people trapped in the apartment. Guilford EMS dispatched two units and a supervisor to assist. HPFD units arrived within three minutes and made an aggressive interior attack. Searches were negative. GCEMS Unit 252 transported one resident to High Point Regional ED. First alarm units quickly controlled the fire.
