Read the book. The study guide will help you check your retention. Some people also have success making flash cards.

When you've got the questions down, go through NFPA 1001 and make sure you can meet all the knowledge & skill requirements.

If you can answer the study guide questions & meet the requirements of 1001, then you should be good to go.

    Good luck.

Reading the Essentials book is a real good way to review but can take a while, if you have the study guide or the green books that go with the Essentials package have some friends quiz you. there is also some software out there www.knightlite.com, i use the emtb software to review when i'm bored and seems to work good. also if you'd like i have 414 review questions i was givin at a fire school the day before i took my firefighter I, i could make copies if i can find them or type them out and send them through email.

    good luck!

I am currently in a FFI academy. If you have those review questions and the time could you get them to me? I'm trying for as much help as I can possibly get. e-mail me at afoxworthy@millikenfire.com

I would suggest you purchase the IFSTA flash cards for FF I & FF II. I think they cost about $14.00 a set. I'm sure you can get them from most places that sell IFSTA manuals. They are easy to use and are a great review.
